Happy is on death row at the Vance County animal control in Henderson, N.C. Happy’s body is criss-crossed with scars from old wounds. Tell-tale signs of his rough life. Despite the evidence which points towards a dismal existence, Happy has proven himself to be sweet and gentle to those people who have met him at the animal control facility. The boxer mix who seems to have only known hard times appears to be resigned to his fate - as if, somehow, he does not expect anything better than what he has always known. Happy deserves a chance to truly be “happy.”
